Recently, the research and development plan in key areas of Guangdong Province, "Precision Medicine and Stem Cell," special "Research on Precision Prediction, Diagnosis and Intervention of Chronic Kidney Disease" project was approved by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and the project was officially launched. The project is led by Southern Hospital of Southern Medical University and jointly declared by Shanghai Institute of Medicine of China Academy of Sciences, Hunan University, Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, DHC and other institutions. The project aims to solve the bottleneck problem that needs to be solved urgently in the prevention and treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) through the latest research methods and cutting-edge technology.
The project plans to use the nationally representative large sample queue and high-quality medical big data platform, and in view of the characteristics of the occurrence and development of CKD in China, and through advanced technologies such as multi-group science and artificial intelligence, establish an accurate prediction method for the occurrence and development risk of CKD and an early diagnosis method. Developing new stem pre-targets for renal fibrosis and innovative therapeutic drugs targeting these targets, laying the foundation for clinical transformation; On this basis, through clinical promotion and application, it will provide a scientific basis and a new strategy with clinical application prospect for the accurate prevention, accurate prediction, accurate diagnosis and individualized accurate treatment of CKD.
As the joint application unit of the project, DHC Center is responsible for the research, development and promotion of the artificial intelligence medical aid decision-making tool for Project 2, "Building an Accurate CKD Risk Prediction Model and Early Diagnosis Method". It aims to construct China Kidney Disease Medical Health Big Data Collaboration Network based on advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data, complete data collection and standardized governance, and realize data sharing of each cooperation unit. To establish a follow-up cohort for natural population and patients with CKD, and a high-quality biological sample bank associated with clinical data.
After the launching of the project, DHC will, in combination with the clinical characteristics of kidney disease, adhere to the international standards and general specifications, and support the smooth progress of the project with high-quality data governance technology, high-level data management ability and international leading technical architecture, so as to realize the interconnection, integration, and open sharing of data related to kidney disease, and enhance the whole-chain collaborative research ability of precision medicine for common, high-risk and local-featured critical diseases in Guangdong. At the same time, it helps the construction of medical service system of early diagnosis and early treatment of kidney disease in China and promotes the high-quality development of kidney disease diagnosis and research.
Since its inception, DHC has actively participated in and undertaken various national key research and development programs. It has cooperated with top-level medical institutions, key universities and scientific research institutes both in China and abroad, undertaken dozens of national and provincial key research and development programs in the 13th and 14th Five-Year Plans, scientific and technological innovation 2030 and 863 Plans, participated in the construction of several national critical illness database platforms, and supported the development of multiple specific illness standard data sets. Focus on supporting China's oncology, cardiology, nephrology, critical medicine, rare disease and clinical genetics, epidemiology, gynecologic oncology, children's oncology and rheumatology immunology and other disciplines of national data system construction and research collaboration, the medical big data and artificial intelligence technology is applied to multiple clinical fields, mining multi-modal big data clinical and scientific research value, to help China's high-quality development of medical research.
