Achieving universal health, digitalization is the essential path—The World Health Organization (WHO)'s latest Global Initiative on Digital Health (GIDH) for 2024 focuses on the digitalization of the health and medical industry. This includes infrastructure construction, standard system deployment, innovative application practice, as well as data privacy protection and information security.

Medical advancement requires scientific research leadership, and digitalization is a crucial support force in driving research development. As an internationally leading enterprise in medical big data and artificial intelligence, DHC has successfully declared and completed multiple national key R&D plans during the "13th Five-Year Plan" and "14th Five-Year Plan", including the "Science and Technology Innovation 2030" and "863 Program". It has participated in the construction of several major national disease-specific database platforms, achieving fruitful results in scientific research.

Publishing academic papers in international mainstream journals is an important manifestation of scientific research output. In 2023, leveraging its technological advantages, DHC collaborated with top international and domestic research institutions and medical schools to publish several high-impact academic papers in international mainstream journals, with the cumulative impact factor breaking one hundred. The content covers various fields such as nephrology, oncology, cardiovascular diseases, and smart management, deeply practicing technology innovation to drive the digital innovation and application of scientific research.

In the field of oncology, DHC, in collaboration with the European Urology Guidelines Office in Arnhem, the Netherlands, the Urology Institute of IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, Italy, and Southern Medical University's Nanfang Hospital, published a paper in European Urology (impact factor 24.344) titled "Clinical Characterization of Patients Diagnosed with Prostate Cancer and Undergoing Conservative Management: A PIONEER Analysis Based on Big Data." This paper provides a pioneering big data analysis on the clinical characteristics of prostate cancer patients undergoing conservative treatment, offering significant data support and decision-making basis for the treatment of prostate cancer patients.

In the field of nephrology, led by Southern Medical University's Nanfang Hospital (National Clinical Research Center for Kidney Diseases), with technical support from DHC, the China Kidney Disease Big Data Platform has achieved fruitful research results. In 2023, multiple papers were published in international mainstream journals including Nature subjournals, with a cumulative impact factor of nearly 60, demonstrating DHC's strong strength and outstanding contributions in promoting the high-quality development of domestic hospital research levels.

Additionally, in January 2024, supported by DHC, joint treatises by Southern Medical University's Nanfang Hospital and Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology's Tongji Hospital were published in the international mainstream journal Nephrology Dialysis Transplantation (impact factor 6.1). The paper, based on over 500,000 intraoperative clinical case data from the national kidney disease data system, explains the incidence and related risk factors of postoperative acute kidney injury in China. It provides high-quality, refined real-world data for important evidence-based medical evidence specific to the Chinese population, effectively filling a significant gap in the representation of the Chinese population in the evidence-based medicine system. At the same time, it further enhances the diagnosis, treatment, and research level of domestic hospitals and national nephrology.

Digitalization is an accelerator for medical development and a key support for the high-quality development of healthcare. In the future, DHC will further improve its independent technology system, empower medical research with digital technology innovation, continuously expand medical application scenarios, strengthen cooperation with multiple parties, and comprehensively support the high-quality development of China's healthcare.
